About Us

We are a liquid crystal research group led by Professor Apala Majumdar who is based at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Our research is primarily in the mathematics and modelling of nematic liquid crystals and partially ordered materials. We work at the interface of mathematical modelling, applied analysis and theoretical physics and are interested in applications in industry.
